Kimberly, I applaud your ability to understand our justice system and your willingness to put it in writing, in electronic infinity, perhaps. So many people are in a constant rush to judgement, brought on by at-your-fingertips-fast food choices, Ebay purchases, and even same day doctor appointments, that they miss out on the evidence (or lack thereof). We've gotten lazy and we've all come to enjoy being spoon-fed. It's time to wake up!

I served on a jury for 5 weeks (nothing, in comparison to those on the Anthony trial), and I learned a lot from that experience. Like you said, folks are not asked if they want to be on a trial jury--a capital murder trial--they are chosen. It's a right and a privilege to be able to serve on a jury. It is also a task given to us by our country and our government, which we should never take lightly. The job is to listen to the testimony, refrain from discussing the events until given direction to do so, and pull out fact-based evidence and circumstantial modifiers to make a black & white decision of guilt or innocence.

In the end, the actual decision is not that hard. We, as jurors, are given black & white instructions. If THIS, then THIS. If THAT, then THAT. The trial, itself, makes the decision(s)...we simply ink it/them in...

Sorry I rambled. All in all, I feel that the first and second OJ juries got the verdict right (even though the second one was iffy), and the Anthony jury did a good job...but...the Scott Peterson jury left me scratching my head. Also, sorry Kimberly, I can't understand how Michael Jackson moonwalked away as an innocent man...with all of the Jesus Juice testimony and such. Oh, well...it is what it is.

HLN to cutback airtime on Nancy Grace, JVM, VP, to help with costs of upcoming CMA lawsuits. HLN is scrambling now that Casey Anthony was found not guilty on all charges except for the lie-charges and HLN is expected to lose millions of dollars in lawsuits against themselves and in the loss of advertising dollars since they were proven to be so very wrong on their reporting on the Casey/Caylee Anthony charges from back in 2008 through today. Wrong on all counts by HLN by all of their reporters for years and years, doesn’t get any worse for a network than that. Perhaps HLN should now consider reporting unbiased and more fair and balanced for a change. Time for Nancy and Jane to return to rehab and Vinnie to get some training on journalism101.
